About this site
Ecclesia Anglicana is an independent directory and chronicle of the Anglican Church in North America — the Province of GAFCON in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
This site is not an official organ of the ACNA Provincial Office or any of its dioceses. It exists to serve inquirers, travelers, and Anglicans seeking a parish home, by gathering publicly-listed information about ACNA congregations into a single searchable directory.
How the directory is built
Parish records are drawn from the ACNA's own congregational listings at acna.org and from the directories published by individual dioceses. We refresh the data periodically using a script (scripts/scrape_acna.py) that re-fetches the public listings and merges the results.
Each parish entry records the name, diocese, address, contact information, website, and (where listed) the rector. Where coordinates are available, parishes are placed on the map. Where they are not, we use a geocoding step to convert address to latitude and longitude.
Data accuracy
Parish information changes constantly: rectors move, parishes relocate, missions close, plants are launched. We make a good-faith effort to keep entries current, but we cannot guarantee accuracy. Always verify service times and addresses with the parish itself before visiting for the first time.
Submitting a correction
If you serve in or attend an ACNA parish and notice an error in our listing — a wrong address, an outdated rector, a missing entry, a closed congregation — we are grateful for corrections.
The most authoritative correction is one made directly with the ACNA Provincial Office, since our directory will pick up changes from acna.org on the next refresh. Parishes can update their own information by signing in at the ACNA portal.
For corrections that you would like us to make immediately, contact the site editor at [your contact email] with the parish name, the diocese, and the field that needs to be updated.
About the Anglican Church in North America
The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) is a Province of the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans (GAFCON), founded in 2009 to gather orthodox Anglicans in the United States, Canada, and Mexico into a single jurisdiction committed to the historic faith and practice of the Anglican tradition. The Province comprises twenty-eight dioceses and more than a thousand congregations.
The ACNA's confessional identity is shaped by Holy Scripture, the three Catholic Creeds, the Book of Common Prayer of 1662, the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion, and the Jerusalem Declaration of 2008. In 2019 the Province published its own Book of Common Prayer, a contemporary expression of that tradition.
